If this is no. 54 Moor End then my in-law family - the Flinns - lived here in 1911 and also at no. 24 Moor End.

Hi Becky - I grew up next door at Moor Grange in the 60's, 70's and '80's. At that time it was the home of the Passmore's (Jeff & Mavis and sons Mark & Paul). It was two cottages then and I remember Mave's mum living in the first cottage with her son Jeff....

I do remember "old" Mrs Flynn though living at No. 22. She distributed the parish magazine and was good friends with my Mum. I remember going there as a small boy and sitting by the fire in the parlor (as they were called in them days!!!) with hot chocolate... and then as I grew older, playing on the old railway carriage that was on the green next to the house and Mrs F telling us off!!

I remember we went to her funeral at St Werburgh's - I must have been 10 or 11 I think.

This was the home of the Passmore's in the 60's/70's... and behind that gate was a great big Alsatian dog called Prince that would snarl and bark at the school kids walking past...
