Mr and Mrs Griffiths lived here in early 1900s. Mr Griffiths was coachman for Mr Devas. Ther daughter, Edith, married Mr Billy Barton, butcher, and their other daughter married Mr Charlie Coxon, farmer, brother to the blacksmith, Peter. Mrs Griffiths was granddaughter of Joseph Wright Meakin, born 1830.
