Sitwell Street

Dated: 1920s
Taken by: Unknown

Scan of photo in the society's archive collection labelled 'Rear view of Sitwell Street'.  Attached are notes written by an unknown hand but which were added much later. These read as follows, " Left hand cottages demolished to build Sitwell Garage, then comes Pinxton House (still extant), and then cottages now demolished for shops and doctor's surgery. At back middle, Spondon Old Hall before RH wing demolished. The large house at RH back is 'The Wilderness', now site of Kwiksave (Co-Op in more recent times!)"  Photo is undated but thought to be 1920s.
