Loco BR (ex-LMSR) Class 3P 2-6-2T No.40054

Withdrawn British Railways steam locomotives in Albert Looms' scrapyard waiting to be cut up seen here on 17th October 1962. The front loco is BR (ex-LMSR) Class 3P 2-6-2T No.40054 designed by Sir Henry Fowler and built in Derby Loco Works in 1931. It was stored at Rugby shed in October 1958, finally withdrawn 18th February 1961 and sold to Looms 28th February 1962. Albert Looms cut up one hundred and thirty BR steam locos in addition to countless carriages and wagons (plus a few industrial locomotives).
