Potter Street
This house, at the top of Potter Street, was once a school owned by Miss Shelton. In early 1900s Dr Barron lived here, one of only two doctors; the other being Dr S Hunt. When Dr. Barron first came to Sp;ondon he lived in two rooms in a house in Oxford Street. He had a bathroom built and fitted: the first bathroom in Oxford Street; and was considered to be rather eccentric.
