Plain rough linen shot bag size 6"X10½" approx. printed with a Royal Coat of Arms and the name 'COX BROs & Co. DERBY PATENT SHOT No.4' in black. Cox's lead works was located in the Morledge, Derby. It operated from 1804 to 1931 and featured a tall brick built 'shot tower'. The Spondon connection is that a family member, one Roger Cox lived in Spondon Hall.
