Are you certain this is
Are you certain this is HUNTLEY AVENUE?
I do not recall a sit down table affair .. we had a fancy dress competition then walked in our costumes to the CofE Infants School for food before walking back for stalls and games on the football field.
The people do not seem familiar either.
Also there was no house or building sideways on the top of the street.
And if it is our house(third semi beyond last bungalow, I do not remember it like that ..
So for these reasons, are you sure?
I think Ivor is correct. I
I think Ivor is correct. I lived in Huntley Avenue until 1972 and I don't recall any houses that looked like these. I always remember a sort of carnival/games/party on what used to be a football pitch. I think they built Wood Road and Hazel Drive on it.
