Built 1920s for British Celanese.

I worked in both A & H

I worked in both A & H Stations from about 1974 to 1980 then transferred to Ratcliffe Power Station. H Station at the time was about the most efficient Power Station in the UK due to the fact it sold its used steam to Celenese next door. I remember as a kid in Spondon how Mum used to curse when bringing in the washing with soot spots all over it from those small chimneys of the old A Station !

I worked at Spondon A and H

I worked at Spondon A and H stations from 1967-1972.The only other people that are still alive to my knowledge are John Hadfield...Brian Whitby...Emrys owen Pugh ( Taffy)

Not quite right. I'm still

Not quite right. I'm still alive.

I worked at Spondon A and watched Spondon H being built, but never worked there.
