About our online archive
The Spondon Historical Society has been collecting material of local interest for nearly three decades and has amassed a huge collection of photographs, maps, documents and other items which reveal a fascinating insight into the history of Spondon and surrounding areas.
We now hope to put many items from our archive onto the website for all to see and enjoy.
You can look through the archive material in a number of ways:
- By viewing our latest additions and working backwards
- By selecting particular categories from the options in the menu on the left
- By clicking the timeline above to view all material from a particular era
- By using the search box on the left to find particular items.
We've currently got just under 300 items added to our online archive so far and hope to keep adding more and more as time goes on. If you think this is something you could help with, either by providing additional items for the archive or by lending a hand to scan and upload photos to the website, please DO get in touch!
Please respect copyright on all items featured in the online archive.
